Letter from our President: Flux's Commitment to Equity and Justice

“If you’re neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

-Desmond Tutu

Out of respect for the diverse perspectives and lived experiences of our employees, Flux usually does not take a stand on political issues. Injustice and racism are different. They are not about politics. They are atrocities that cannot be tolerated. They have no place in society.  As our country struggles with basic questions of humanity, all companies and all individuals must take a stand.

Our values of honesty and consideration require us to speak out against the brutalization and dehumanization of Black people. The death of George Floyd is not a singular event, but the latest link in a chain that we must break.

Flux’s Core Purpose is to “improve the quality of life.” We cannot improve the quality of life in our communities without focusing on improving the quality of life experienced by the Black community.

To that end, Flux vows to face pain with purpose. We will be providing all staff members a paid Day of Service to take action in support of communities of color and to honor all the Black lives lost unjustly at the hands of racism. We understand that change has many avenues, and we will be providing ideas and resources for ways you can support. This is just one-step we can take together as a collective group – many more must follow. Our company will continue to listen, learn, and take action.

We value differences. We are committed to equity. We condemn injustice wherever we see it.

 Warmly,

Dominic Moore
